Vritrasura: The Demon Who Blocked the Waters

Dadhichi, moved by the plight of the world, agreed to sacrifice himself so that his bones could be used to forge a powerful weapon—the Vajra.

However, Indra, now armed with the Vajra and fueled by the selflessness of Dadhichi’s sacrifice, struck Vritrasura with a force that finally overcame the demon. Vritrasura fell, releasing the waters he had hoarded and restoring balance to the universe.

The cosmic order was reestablished, and life returned to the world. Rivers flowed, the land flourished, and peace was restored, all thanks to the selfless sacrifice of Sage Dadhichi and the courage of Indra.
