Vishnu’s Mohini Form and Kurma’s Support in Samudra Manthan

During the **Samudra Manthan**, the ultimate goal for both the devas and asuras was to retrieve the **amrita**, the nectar of immortality. As they churned the ocean, tension between the two groups grew. The asuras, realizing the immense power the nectar held, sought to claim it for themselves. They believed that if they could control the amrita, they would become invincible and rule over the devas for eternity.

As the nectar finally appeared from the ocean, the asuras moved to seize it. Seeing the danger in allowing the asuras to gain immortality, Lord Vishnu devised a plan. Taking the form of the enchanting and beautiful **Mohini**, Vishnu distracted the asuras with her beauty and charm. While the asuras were entranced, Mohini distributed the nectar to the devas, ensuring that they received the immortality they sought.

Though the devas and asuras had worked together to churn the ocean, Vishnu ensured that the nectar fell into the right hands. **Kurma**, the steady supporter of the mountain, allowed this divine intervention to happen by providing a firm foundation for the entire process.
