Once upon a time, long ago, there was a mighty demon named Hiranyaksha, a being of immense power and arrogance. He had gained a boon from Brahma, which made him nearly invincible, and he began to wreak havoc across the universe. Consumed by his pride, he decided to plunge the Earth into chaos. With immense strength, Hiranyaksha seized the Earth, personified as the goddess Bhudevi, and dragged her deep into the cosmic ocean, intending to submerge her forever.

The gods were powerless against his might and turned to Lord Vishnu for help. Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, decided to take the form of a wild boar—a creature whose strength and determination could match the demon’s. He incarnated as Varaha, a gigantic boar with tusks that gleamed like polished silver, and dived into the cosmic ocean in search of Bhudevi.

As Varaha descended into the depths, the waters churned and roared. He found Hiranyaksha ready to do battle. A fierce and lengthy fight ensued between the two. The Earth trembled as their blows echoed through the heavens and oceans. Finally, with a roar that shook the cosmos, Varaha gored the demon with his tusks, ending his tyranny.

Varaha lifted the Earth from the depths of the ocean on his massive tusks and gently placed her back in her rightful place in the cosmos. Bhudevi, freed from her suffering, praised Vishnu for his bravery and strength.

Moral: No matter how overwhelming evil may seem, the forces of good will always rise to protect the world and restore balance. Courage and perseverance are key virtues in overcoming adversity.
