In the soft glow of blue light filtering through a spacecraft’s hatch, two young siblings—Slaven and his little sister Mira—stood in awe. They found themselves surrounded by intricate devices, shimmering buttons, translucent silver-white curtains, and mysterious glass boxes that seemed to guard untold secrets. But neither could remember how they had come aboard this ship, nor how they had drifted so far from home.

They were aboard a vessel unlike anything seen on Earth—the Shuttle Terra, a ship that navigated the endless expanse of galaxies beyond imagination.

“Where are we?” whispered Mira, her hand clutching her brother’s for comfort.

Before them appeared a tall figure in elegant blue attire. His voice, deep and resonant like an echo from a distant canyon, greeted them warmly.

“Welcome, Earthlings. I am Ven, a resident of Terra. You are aboard our shuttle, and we have much to show you.”

Ven explained that the planet Terra was not just a distant world but a beacon of knowledge, a place where beings had lived for billions of years without war, preserving the history and languages of countless civilizations. The Terrans knew all 6,500 human languages and archived Earth’s stories, myths, and histories.

As they toured the shuttle, Ven led them to a mirror-walled chamber, where mirrored squares adorned the glass like jewels. Mira touched one, and to her surprise, it slid open, revealing a hidden compartment—a mobile library. Within lay a leather-bound book, heavy and ancient, its pages inscribed with images of unfamiliar creatures, distant stars, and other worlds.

“This,” said Ven, “depicts a long-lost creature from the planet Yuris, a world that perished millennia ago. But from its death was born a new planet—Earth.”

Stunned, Slaven and Mira learned that Earth was not the first, nor the last, in the cosmic cycle of life and destruction. Ven’s words hinted at a sobering truth—while Terrans thrived in harmony, Earthians were destined to repeat cycles of greed, war, and destruction unless they changed their ways.

Before they could ask more, the scene began to blur. Slaven awoke suddenly in his own bed, back on Earth. But the dream had been too vivid, too real.

At breakfast, he told his family the entire experience. His father reflected on the name “Terra”, realizing it meant Earth in Latin. Could it be that there was another Earth—a more advanced twin of our own world?

Curious and eager, Slaven and Mira set out that day to the old city library, determined to find traces of Terra and Yuris. As they explored, they stumbled upon a familiar room—its walls of glass, adorned with mirrored squares, just like the Shuttle Terra’s library.

Mira touched a mirror square, despite a warning sign that read, “Do Not Touch: Locked and Encoded.” To their astonishment, a drawer opened—but it was empty. Disappointed, they turned to leave when a brilliant light filled the room, and the distant roar of engines echoed from the sky. Racing outside, they saw a shimmering shuttle disappearing into the clouds—the same shuttle from Slaven’s dream.

“Was it truly a dream?” Slaven asked, his eyes wide with wonder.

Years Later — The Mystery Returns

As an adult, Slaven became a physicist, working on a remote mountain observatory that tracked signals from distant galaxies. One frigid morning, he set out alone into the snow to check the instruments when the air changed—it turned dense, glowing with that same ethereal deep blue light from his childhood vision.

Isolated and cold, Slaven’s mind replayed Ven’s voice:

“You are pure and genuine. Remember what you see, for it is real.”

Then, through the dense blue mist, a bright light emerged. His radio crackled to life, and he heard Mira’s voice, though distorted, calling out to him.

“Slaven, where are you? Stay awake!”

As consciousness faded, he glimpsed a luminous shuttle gliding above him.

Later, Slaven awoke by a roaring fireplace, his colleagues around him, relieved he had been found. Eagerly, he asked Mira to play back the recordings from his equipment.

On the screen, they watched in awe—the Shuttle Terra hovered, its passengers visible inside, including two small children led by the tall figure of Ven. It was real. His dream had been a memory—a message implanted long ago.

“Mira,” Slaven said with wonder, “they showed us their world to remind us who we could become. Maybe we still have a chance.”

Mira smiled, her freckled face aglow.

“Perhaps one day, we will understand the true connection between Earth and Terra, and the secrets stored in those mirrored libraries.”

Moral of the Story

The human mind holds memories beyond dreams, glimpses of forgotten truths. Wisdom, harmony, and peace await those who remember, seek, and learn from the past—even if that past belongs to other worlds.
