The Race of Motivation
One day, a dog spotted a rabbit and, with a burst of energy, began chasing after it. Despite the dog’s speed, the rabbit skillfully darted away, escaping the pursuit.
A goat, who had been watching the chase, couldn’t resist a smug comment. “Too fast for you, wasn’t he?” the goat sneered.
The dog, catching its breath, calmly replied, “Why are you surprised? I was chasing him for fun, but he was running for his life.”
Moral of the story: Performance depends on motivation. When there’s a strong reason to succeed, we put in more effort and achieve better results.
