During the Samudra Manthan, or the churning of the ocean, the gods obtained many precious items, one of which was the divine Parijataka tree, known for its heavenly fragrance. The gods planted this tree in the garden of Indra, the king of the heavens.

One day, Sage Narada visited this garden and collected some flowers from the Parijataka tree. He brought these fragrant flowers to Rukmini, one of Krishna’s beloved wives. Rukmini was overjoyed with the gift, treasuring the flowers’ beauty and divine aroma.

However, Satyabhama, another wife of Krishna, caught the fragrance of the Parijataka flowers and, feeling a pang of jealousy, desired the tree for herself. She asked Krishna to bring the entire Parijataka tree from Indra’s garden. To fulfill Satyabhama’s wish, Krishna went to Indra and, after a battle, brought the tree back to earth.

Krishna, known for his wisdom, found a way to make both his wives happy. He planted the Parijataka tree in such a way that its flowers fell into Rukmini’s courtyard, while the tree itself grew in Satyabhama’s courtyard. This way, both Rukmini and Satyabhama could enjoy the divine tree and its fragrant blossoms, and harmony was restored.

**Moral:** True love finds a way to bring harmony and happiness to all. Krishna’s handling of the Parijataka tree teaches us that fairness and understanding are essential in relationships, and that wisdom lies in creating balance and ensuring everyone’s happiness.
