The Effect of Bahlool’s Prayer

One day, a Bedouin came to Bahlool and said, “My camel is afflicted with mange, and I have been told that if I rub castor oil on it, it will get better. But I believe your breath and prayer have more power. I ask you to pray so that my camel recovers from this illness.” Bahlool replied, “If you buy the castor oil and mix it with my prayer, your camel might recover. Otherwise, my prayer alone will not have any effect.”
