The Beggar’s Savage Reply
One morning, a man was walking to his office when a beggar approached him. The beggar looked terrible—barefoot, with torn clothes.
The beggar asked for money, but the man said, “Why don’t you work? Aren’t you ashamed of begging?”
The beggar calmly replied, “I do feel ashamed begging. But the last time I took money without asking, the police threw me in jail.”
The man had no comeback and just walked away. The beggar? Probably had a good laugh.
