Once upon a time, there was a brave and skilled princess named Suryamukhi. Renowned for her mastery in swordsmanship, she had made a unique promise—she would only marry the man who could best her in a duel. Many noble princes came forward to challenge her, but none could match her skill. Her parents grew eager to see her wed, yet Suryamukhi remained undefeated.

One day, a clever prince disguised himself as a commoner and approached Suryamukhi, seeking to learn her techniques. The prince trained diligently, absorbing all he could under her guidance. When he felt ready, he returned to challenge her, this time in the guise of a noble prince. They fought fiercely, and to Suryamukhi’s surprise, he defeated her. The prince then revealed his identity and asked for her hand in marriage.

However, Suryamukhi refused, explaining, “You were once my student, and it would be improper for a teacher to marry her student.” Just then, the wise spirit Betal, who had been watching the tale unfold, asked Vikram, “Why did she say that?”

Vikram replied thoughtfully, “Because the prince learned her skills, and thus, she became his teacher. A bond of learning and respect should not be compromised by marriage.”

Pleased with the answer, Betal said, “Indeed, Vikram. You are wise, but you have spoken once more,” and with that, he disappeared into the night.

**Moral:** True respect values boundaries, and some bonds are sacred, not meant to be altered by personal desires.
