After Varaha had slain the demon Hiranyaksha and restored the Earth, his fury had not yet abated. The intensity of the battle had ignited a fire of rage within him, and his power was so great that the gods feared that this rage might cause further destruction to the world.

Shiva, the god of destruction, took notice of Varaha’s unquenchable anger. Understanding the need for balance in the universe, Shiva assumed the form of Sharabha, a ferocious and mighty creature, and descended from the heavens. He approached Varaha, not to fight him but to pacify his anger.

With great care and compassion, Shiva, in his Sharabha form, calmed Varaha and reminded him of the need to balance power with peace. Slowly, Varaha’s rage subsided, and he returned to his peaceful, divine form.

Moral: Even the most powerful beings must learn to control their emotions. True strength lies in restraint and the ability to channel one’s power wisely.
