Ravana, the mighty king of Lanka, was determined to kill Rama and Lakshmana. Initially, he sent his most powerful warriors, including his trusted commander Prahasta, to defeat them. However, Prahasta and many others fell in battle. Frustrated and desperate, Ravana decided to take matters into his own hands and went to the battlefield himself.

Dressed in splendid armor and armed with a collection of powerful weapons, Ravana arrived on the battlefield in his golden chariot, ready to wreak havoc. He launched a fierce attack, firing weapons in all directions and slaying hundreds of soldiers within moments. Seeing this, Rama and Lakshmana joined forces and counterattacked, targeting Ravana’s chariot and weakening his defenses.

As the battle intensified, Ravana found himself wounded, his chariot destroyed, and his golden crown shattered. Stripped of his weaponry, he stood helplessly before Rama. Rather than striking an unarmed opponent, Rama, embodying the principles of righteousness, said, “It is against my honor to fight an unarmed warrior. Go back, rest, and come fully prepared tomorrow.”

Humbled and shamed by Rama’s compassion, Ravana left the battlefield, vowing to return. Yet, he could not shake off the sting of Rama’s mercy, a moment that made him question his own pride and choices.

**Moral:** True strength is not only in physical power but in the restraint and compassion shown even toward one’s enemies.
