Dundhu was a fearsome demon whose thirst for power knew no bounds. He roamed the earth, spreading terror wherever he went, challenging both gods and humans alike. His strength was unmatched, and he believed that no force in the universe could stop him. Dundhu’s rampage caused great suffering, and the gods themselves feared that his chaos would engulf the world.

In desperation, the gods sought a champion who could stand against Dundhu’s might. They found that champion in King Kuvalashva, a valiant and righteous ruler known for his bravery and deep sense of duty. Kuvalashva, along with his hundred sons, took up the challenge to defeat the demon and bring peace to the world.

The battle between King Kuvalashva and Dundhu was fierce and relentless. Dundhu unleashed his full power, summoning dark forces to aid him, but Kuvalashva and his sons fought with unwavering courage. One by one, Kuvalashva’s sons perished in the fight, giving their lives to weaken the demon. Despite his grief, Kuvalashva pressed on, determined to fulfill his duty to protect the world.

In the final moments of the battle, Kuvalashva called upon his inner strength and divine blessings. With a powerful strike, he killed Dundhu, liberating the world from the demon’s reign of terror. Though the victory came at great personal cost, Kuvalashva’s bravery and sacrifice ensured peace for both gods and humans alike.

From that day on, King Kuvalashva was known as “Dhundhumara,” the slayer of Dundhu, and his name was celebrated throughout the land.
