Does the Dog Know the Proverb?
Once upon a time, there were two classmates, Pat and Tom. One day, Pat went to Tom’s house to borrow a book.
At the entrance, Pat was greeted by Tom’s dog—loud, angry, and barking like it had a PhD in scaring visitors. Pat froze, terrified.
Tom ran out, grabbed the dog, and said, “Relax, Pat! Dogs that bark don’t bite.”
Pat, still clutching his chest, replied, “Yeah, we know that… but does your dog know it?”
They both burst into laughter while the dog probably thought, “What’s so funny?”
