The Cunning Cat and the Wise Hen: A Lesson in Caution
Once upon a time, there was a cunning cat with a fondness for eating chickens. Every day, she would prowl around, hunting for an unsuspecting bird to satisfy her hunger.
One day, the cat heard that a hen in the village was unwell. Eager to seize an opportunity, she approached the hen with a feigned expression of concern.
“Dear Hen,” the cat purred sweetly, “I heard you’re feeling unwell. How are you today? Is there anything I can do to help you recover?”
The hen, though weak, was wise enough to see through the cat’s deceit. Gathering her strength, she replied, “The greatest help you can offer me is to stay far away from me and my family. If you truly wish me well, carry this advice to all your kind as well.”
Hearing this sharp retort, the cat realized her plan had been uncovered. Embarrassed, she slinked away, unable to utter another word.
Moral of the Story:
Beware of false kindness from those who have a history of harming you. True intentions always reveal themselves.
