Bahlool’s Witty Remark

One of the Caliph’s courtiers was passing by when Bahlool unintentionally bumped into him. The courtier became furious and said, “Do you know who I am?”
Bahlool replied, “Yes, I know very well. I’ve seen you before!”
The courtier asked, “Where?”
Bahlool said, “In the asylum!”
The man shouted angrily, “Madman! I am a close confidant of the Caliph, part of his inner circle!”
Bahlool responded, “That’s exactly what I just said!”
