Bahlool’s Anger

Bahlul was sitting in a place when children began to annoy him. He kept repeating, “There is no power and no strength except with Allah.” Finally, their disturbance became unbearable. Bahlul grabbed his staff and charged towards them, saying, “I will attack these warriors and I am not afraid, whether death comes through them or otherwise.”

All the children fled in fear, and Bahlul continued shouting, “The enemy has been defeated, and they are fleeing in retreat.”

He then sat down and said, “The caravan group has placed their staffs on the ground and found rest, just as the eyes of a traveler are refreshed when he returns to his home.”
