Bahlool and Washing Clothes

Someone asked Bahlool, “Your clothes are filthy. Why don’t you wash them?”

Bahlool replied, “If I wash them, they will just get dirty again!”

They said, “Then wash them a second time.”

Bahlool replied, “And they’ll still get dirty again!”

They said, “Then wash them once more!”

Bahlool said, “It seems I was born into this world only to wash clothes!”
