It is said that one day Bahlool went to the mosque. Since it was a holiday, a large crowd had gathered. Bahlool wanted to enter the prayer hall, but he saw many shoes at the entrance. Since his shoes had been stolen before, he feared they would be taken again or exchanged with other shoes. So, he wrapped his shoes in a cloth and hid them under his cloak. When he entered the prayer hall and sat in a corner, a man sitting nearby noticed the lump under his armpit and asked, “I believe you are carrying a valuable book under your arm. Can you tell me what book it is?” Bahlool replied, “It is a valuable book.” The man asked, “Which bookstore did you buy it from?” Bahlool replied, “I bought it from the shoemaker!”

These tales continue Bahlool’s tradition of humor and wisdom, often using playful answers to convey deeper truths or point out human follies.
