One day, Bahlool was traveling with an Arab and asked him, “What is your name?” The man replied, “Matar, meaning Rain.” Bahlool then asked, “What is your nickname?” The man said, “Abu al-Ghaith, meaning Father of the Rain.” Bahlool inquired, “What is your father’s name?” The man replied, “Farat.” Bahlool asked, “What is his nickname?” The man answered, “Abu al-Fayz, meaning Father of the Flowing Water.” Bahlool then asked, “What is your mother’s name?” The man said, “Sahab, meaning Cloud.” Bahlool replied, “For God’s sake, wait a moment so I can find a small boat (a narrow boat without a sail or rudder), or I will surely drown in your company!”

These stories continue to showcase Bahlool’s wit, humor, and ability to playfully engage with others while making deeper observations about life.
