On the day of Eid, Bahlool encountered a madman shouting in the streets, “O people, I am the prophet of God sent to you!”

Hearing this outrageous claim, Bahlool calmly approached the man and, without hesitation, struck him on the face. Then, quoting the Quran, he said:

“Do not hasten with the Quran before its revelation is completed to you.” (Surah Taha: 114)

Bahlool’s clever response used the sacred scripture to rebuke the madman’s false claim, reminding those present of the gravity of such words and the sanctity of divine revelation. It was a sharp yet thoughtful way to bring attention to the absurdity of the madman’s statement while grounding the moment in wisdom and faith.
