One day, Bahlool passed by a group of people discussing a narration attributed to Aisha, who had said, “If I were to witness the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr), I would ask for nothing from God except forgiveness and well-being.”

Bahlool, with his characteristic insight, remarked, “Beyond that, she would have asked for victory over Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), for that was her greatest concern.”

This candid statement highlighted Aisha’s historical conflict with Imam Ali, reminding the listeners of the complexities of history and human priorities even in moments of piety.
