As the drums of war echoed across the land, both the Kauravas and Pandavas sought allies to strengthen their forces. Among those they wished to sway was Krishna, the wise and powerful ruler of Dwarka. His support would be invaluable, for his wisdom and strength were known far and wide.

Duryodhana, the prince of the Kauravas, was determined to secure Krishna’s allegiance first. He arrived at Krishna’s palace, where he found Krishna resting, taking a peaceful nap. Confident and self-assured, Duryodhana took a seat near Krishna’s head, believing this position would display his importance.

Not long after, Arjuna, the humble and devoted warrior from the Pandavas, also arrived to seek Krishna’s support. He quietly entered the room and, without a second thought, sat at Krishna’s feet, waiting respectfully for him to awaken.

When Krishna opened his eyes, the first person he saw was Arjuna. Smiling warmly, Krishna acknowledged Arjuna’s presence before noticing Duryodhana. Duryodhana, feeling slighted, quickly spoke up, “I came first, Krishna. I am here to request your support in the coming war.”

Krishna listened to Duryodhana’s demand and then turned to Arjuna, asking him what he wished. Arjuna, with humility, requested Krishna’s support for the Pandavas in their righteous battle. Krishna looked at both of them and made a unique offer, saying, “I shall support both of you. One of you may have my mighty Narayani Sena, my powerful army, and the other may have me alone, unarmed and without weapons. But remember, I will not fight in this war.”

Duryodhana’s heart leapt with joy. He thought to himself, “What use is Krishna without his weapons? His vast army would be far more valuable.” Without hesitation, he chose the Narayani Sena.

Arjuna, with a deep sense of faith and trust in Krishna, chose Krishna himself, even without his weapons, knowing that Krishna’s wisdom and guidance would be the ultimate strength on the battlefield.

When Duryodhana realized Arjuna’s choice, he was pleased with his decision, thinking he had gained the upper hand with Krishna’s powerful army. Little did he know that Krishna’s presence alone would provide the Pandavas with strength, strategy, and an unbreakable spirit that would turn the tides of the war.

**Moral:** True strength lies not in numbers or might, but in wisdom, faith, and the power of righteous guidance.
