Always Be Prepared for the Worst
One day, as a fox roamed through the forest in search of food, he came across a pig who was rubbing its tusks against the trunk of a tree. The fox looked around, noticing no immediate signs of danger. The hunters weren’t out, and there were no predators in sight.
Curious, the fox approached the pig and asked, “There are no hunters today, nor do I see any other threat. Why are you sharpening your tusks?”
The pig paused and, with wisdom in its eyes, replied, “Dear fox, we live in a forest where dangers lurk at every turn. Who knows when I’ll have to defend myself? If I wait until the danger is upon me, I may not have time to prepare. That’s why I sharpen my tusks now, while I still can.”
The fox, though clever, realized the truth in the pig’s words.
Moral of the story: Always be prepared for the worst. Life is unpredictable, and it’s wise to be ready for challenges before they arrive.
