A Foolish Friend Can Be Deadlier Than an Enemy
Once upon a time, a deer fell gravely ill. Unable to move, he sought refuge in a lush grassy patch, hoping the soft earth and plentiful food would aid his recovery. However, as the days passed, his condition worsened, leaving him too weak to graze.
News of his illness spread quickly, and many of his animal friends, all herbivores, arrived to show their concern. Touched by their presence, the deer felt comforted. They stayed to nurse him, but in their thoughtlessness, they began grazing on the grass around him. Over the following days, they devoured every blade, leaving the once-lush patch barren.
Eventually, the deer began to recover. Feeling stronger, he hoped to regain his energy and start feeding again. But by then, his friends, satisfied that he was on the mend, left him one by one, unaware of the damage they had caused.
Alone and still too weak to wander in search of food, the deer found himself starving in the very spot that could have saved his life. Had his friends been more considerate and left the grass for him, he would have lived. Instead, their careless actions sealed his fate.
Moral:
Thoughtless help can harm more than neglect. True friendship requires wisdom and consideration, not just good intentions.
