Once, while Krishna and Arjuna were immersed in thought, a mysterious Brahmin approached them, asking for food to satiate his hunger. Moved by his plight, Krishna and Arjuna pledged to fulfill his request. However, this Brahmin was no ordinary man. Revealing his true form, he disclosed himself to be Agni, the God of Fire, whose hunger was far greater than any mortal’s.

Agni sought to consume the Khandava Forest to appease his burning hunger, but a formidable obstacle lay in his path. Takshaka, the serpent king, ruled over this forest, and his powerful ally, Indra—the god of rain—would shield it with torrential storms each time Agni attempted to devour it.

Determined to help, Krishna and Arjuna readied themselves for a battle against the elements. Agni bestowed upon Arjuna a divine quiver, one that would never run out of arrows, and he asked them to stand by their word.

As Agni began to engulf the forest in flames, Indra unleashed torrents of rain to quench the fire. But Arjuna, with unwavering focus, shot arrow after arrow into the sky, creating a protective canopy to shield Agni’s flames from the downpour. With Krishna’s divine support and Arjuna’s relentless defense, Agni finally consumed the forest, fulfilling his hunger.

**Moral: True commitment requires resilience and courage to stand by one’s word, even when faced with overwhelming odds.**
